On the Move!

We officially have a crawler! Brady has been working so hard at it for the past couple of weeks and on Saturday all that hard work paid off. He has been on the move ever since! It's time to baby proof ASAP. Luckily we already have a couple of gates up to keep the dogs out of certain areas but we need a couple more and some outlet plugs. I can't believe how quickly he is growing and learning new things. We can tell he is pretty excited that he can get where he wants to go without our help now. He is definitely keeping us on our toes! Here are a few pictures.The last one cracks me up, he has to take rest breaks..crawling is hard work!

Three Ladies and a Baby

We have had a fun couple of days. Tommie flew in Thursday night from Florida for a long weekend. She couldn't take not seeing Brady for so long! He is one loved little boy! Tommie kept Brady on Friday during the day and aunt Vern came to spend the day too! Brady had a fun day with them! Then, last night Tommie and Aunt B offered to come over and watch Brady while Brad and I went to dinner. All three of us were very excited! Brady behaved well and was a happy boy. Brad and I enjoyed a delicious meal at Three Suns Bistro. My parents had given Brad a gift certificate there for his birthday. We had only been there one other time but we will definitely go back.. So yummy! Tommie heads back to Florida today and will be there till the first of April, we will miss her! Aunt B is flying down with her for the week. It was so nice to see everyone these last couple of days and Brady loved his time with three of his favorite ladies! Tomorrow he will head back to one of his other favorites, Nannie! Germs, Please Go Away!

We have had a rough week!  Last Tuesday Brady came down with a cold.  Poor little guy, he was fussy and definitely not himself. Thankfully, my mom still took him for me so Brad and I didn't have to miss a bunch of work.  The only downfall to that is,  just as he was getting over it, my mom and I both came down with it (my dad had it earlier in the week too!).  Brad and I are so lucky to have my mom and Tommie as Brady's babysitters but I still feel terrible leaving him with them when either he is sick or they are sick!  It is no easy task to take care of a sick baby or take care of a baby when you are sick. So, a BIG thank you to my mom and thanks to dad also, he works from home and was a big help!  Luckily, Brad hasn't been hit yet, let's hope it stays that way!  Speaking of Brad, I have to brag on him...yesterday when I was feeling terrible, not only did he do the grocery shopping and watch Brady while I took a nap, he also made homemade chicken noodle soup AND an apple pie!  I asked him how he knew how to make the pie and his answer was "it was easy."  It was all yummy...I am one lucky girl!  Hopefully we will all feel better very soon!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day from my little love bug! 

Brad, Brady and will be having a relaxing night at home.  We thought about going out to eat but decided to order a pizza instead.  I remember last Valentine's Day being pregnant and so anxious for June to hurry up so Brady would be here!  The holidays are so much fun with him around!  I hope everyone is having a great day!  

8 Months Old

Brady turned 8 months old on February 9th! I can't believe it...how do I have an 8th month old?! This has been another fun month. Brady is changing so fast! He is not crawling yet but we think he is close, he gets on his hands and knees and rocks...he wants to be on the move so badly. Once he can crawl we are going to be on the move too, haha! Brady is getting the eating thing down now. He likes his fruits and veggies for the most part. Dr. Warner likes his patients to wait until 9 months to try any table foods so we are waiting till next month to try those. He finally has some teeth coming in! Three teeth have broken through the skin. We have had some rough days with teething, poor little guy. Brady is rolling over like crazy. He loves to bounce in his exersaucer. He is pretty good about sitting and playing with his toys for at least a little bit while I fold laundry etc. (right next to him, of course). He is in mostly 9 month clothes and size 3 diapers. He is such a joy and we love him to pieces! This month, I took his pictures in the morning before we left for the day. He was in his pj's but at least I did them!

It was a great month, we can't wait to see what this month brings!

February Play Group

January turned out to be a busy month for everyone so we decided to skip January and wait for February for our next play group.  Alison and Woods hosted again last Thursday night!  It was great to see everyone.  It really is amazing to see how much the babies change month to month!  Unfortunately, Brady was not in a great mood.  He refused to nap that afternoon and he needs his sleep or he is CRANKY (I think he gets that from me!)  I thought maybe once we got there he would forget about being sleepy and have fun but he was pretty fussy the whole time...oh well, he is a baby after all!  I did snap a few pictures before we left a little early to get Brady home and ready for bed!

Just like last time, it wasn't possible to get everyone in the pictures...there were a lot more babies there!  Next month we are leaving the babies at home and having a mom's night out!

Sunshine and Sand...Trip to Naples

Brad, Brady and I spent last Thursday through Sunday in warm and sunny Naples, Florida.  Tommie and Gayle have a condo and spend the winter there and they flew us down to spend a few days.  We had a great time! Brad has been so busy lately working on our rental house and it was great to get to spend time as a family and de-stress.  Brady had a lot of firsts...his first airplane ride, his first trip to the beach, his first time in a pool and I am sure there are more!  He did pretty well on the airplane, wasn't sure about the beach, and LOVED the pool!  He also loved being outside so much.  He was such a happy baby the whole time we were there.  It was great to see Tommie and Gayle!  The few days just went by so fast!
