Happy 30th, Brad!!

Tomorrow is Brad's birthday and he will turn the big 3-0!  Since I probably won't be able to post on here tomorrow before work, I wanted to go ahead and wish him a very happy birthday!  Brad, you are the best husband to me and daddy to Brady...we love you very much!

That Looks Familiar

I picked Brady up at my parent's house the other day to find him in an outfit that looked vaguely familiar but I knew wasn't his.  It turns out the reason it looked familiar is because it was my brother, David's.  Brady had a little accident and I didn't pack a change of clothes that day (oops!) so, it was lucky mom had this around!  It fits Brady perfectly...pretty funny!  My mom must have taken good care of our clothes considering this outfit is still in good condition and is 26 years old.  I had to take a couple pictures of Brady in it when we got home..I just wish I had one of David in it to post on here too!

Too bad UK's football season is over but at least he has something to wear for the Superbowl! 

Just Hanging Out

Brady and I haven't had much going on this weekend and it has been great!  Poor Brad has been working like crazy (with some help from my dad too..thanks dad!) on our rental house.  The college boys who lived there for three years just moved out and it needs some work to get it ready for more tenants.  So, it's been just Brady and me most evenings and Saturdays lately.  This Saturday we had zero plans and just enjoyed hanging out.  We did lots of playing, napping (well, he napped, I cleaned), and we ran a few errands.  I love my time at home with Brady so much!  We are just sad Brad wasn't with us too!  Luckily he is home for awhile today so we are headed to church and the grocery soon...our usual Sunday morning.

7 Months Old

Brady turned 7 months yesterday!  Another month has flown by.  I have to say I think each month is more and more fun!  His personality is really coming out and let me tell you, he is one funny little guy!  He definitely knows what he likes and doesn't like.  He has started to pay a lot more attention to toys and now that he can sit up well he will sit and play with toys (well, play equals putting everything in his mouth, haha).  He is fascinated with his feet and loves to stick them in his mouth.  One big change this month has been eating!  He still has his bottles but he is also eating fruits, veggies, and cereal.  His favorites right now are pears and green beans  (which totally grosses his daddy out because he hates pears, haha).  Brady is in size 3 diapers and mostly 6 month or 9 month clothes.  He is really starting to recognize familiar people and he lights up when he hears Brad's voice when he walks in after work!  The pictures this month were once again a bit challenging!  He was much more interested in the paper with the month written on it than anything.  I did a few with his outfit on then tried again later and by that time the outfit other than the onesie was off...haha!

Brady had an appointment with Dr. Warner today to get the second round of his flu shot and to check on some raspy breathing he has been having.  He was hilarious! He was mesmerized by Dr. Warner and just smiled and smiled at him while he listened to his lungs etc.  When Dr. Warner walked away Brady cried...I think he wanted to play with him!  At least he likes his pediatrician!  He handled the shot like a champ, only a few tears...such a big boy!



Happy New Year!

Our New Year's Eve was much different from years past...there was no big party and no champagne toasts but I wouldn't have had it any other way!  This year Brad and I spent New Year's Eve with our little one.  We decided to catch an early dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant and we were excited to have my parents and Lauren, Scott, and Lauren's sister, Kaci join us! 

We had a great time at dinner and Brad, Brady, and I were at home by 7:45.  We even had time for a little playtime before bed!

It was the perfect night with family and friends and even though I didn't even make it until midnight I have to say, it was probably my favorite New Year's Eve yet.  2011 was an amazing year...I can't wait to see what 2012 brings!
