Rolling Over!

Last night when I was getting Brady ready for bed I decided to take a few pictures of him without his clothes on...he may want to kill me for this later but there is nothing cuter than a naked baby!  Plus, he LOVES to be naked so I knew he would enjoy it.  I put him on his stomach to take some pictures and... he rolled right over!  I screamed and clapped and I think I scared him because he started to cry..oops!  He calmed down though and I yelled downstairs to Brad to come up and see and he did it two more times!  Dr. Warner said he would probably roll over at least one way before his next appointment at 6 months.  One of the things I don't like about working is missing out on things and I was so excited I got to see him roll over for the first time!  I think he must have waited until I was around because he didn't want me to miss it, haha! Here are some pictures we took last night.  I ended up putting his diaper back on because it's a little risky to have him without it for too long!  He was so proud of himself for rolling over!

4 Months Old!

Brady turned four months old yesterday!  I am so amazed by how much he is changing month to month.  He is still eating the same amount (about 6 oz. every 3 hours during the day).  He started going to bed a little earlier a couple weeks ago.  He now has his last bottle around 8:30 and is usually asleep by 9:00.  He usually sleeps until around 7:00 however, we think he has started teething and he woke up at 4:45 this morning (a little bit of a rough Monday).  He is very interactive now and does lots of smiling and cooing!  He is not liking his swing very much anymore but will still sit in it occasionally if he is really sleepy.  He loves his exersaucer and bumbo seat and still enjoys his playmat. He loves to stand (with support) and has recently discovered his feet and loves to grab them while laying down.   Brady definitely has a personality and he has his dad and I wrapped around his little finger!

The four month photo shoot was challenging!  Brady was squirming all over the place and once again was refusing to smile...stinker!  I did catch a few smiles and some funny pictures...

Yesterday was my dad's birthday so, it was time for another celebration!  He decided on a dinner with the family at home which is always fun.  We had a Mexican theme...chips and salsa, guacamole, fajitas, and of course, margaritas! My mom did all the cooking and everything was delicious.  She even made my dad's favorite, German chocolate cupcakes for dessert.  We left their house very full! It was a fun night!

Four Month Check-Up!

Brady had his four month check-up with Dr. Warner yesterday.  I know I keep saying this but I really can't believe how fast the time is going...how is he already four months old (he is officially four months on Sunday) ?!?!  Dr. Warner said Brady is developing wonderfully and he is DEFINITELY growing! Here are his four month stats:

Weight: 15 lbs., 15 oz., 92nd percentile (WHOA!)
Height: 25 inches, 55th percentile
Head Circumference: 42, 45th percentile

My mom came with us to the appointment (thank you, mom!) which was a big help as always.  Brady did so well while being weighed and measured by the nurses and examined by Dr. Warner! I was so proud of him.  He did not cry once...until it was time for the shots.  I know every mother must hate to watch their child get shots, it really is terrible.  You would think I would have handled it better this time since I knew what to expect but, instead I cried right along with Brady! I went ahead and gave him Tylenol right after the shots. He was pretty sleepy and fussy the rest of the day but he already seems to be feeling better this morning!

Happy Birthday, Tommie!

Today is my mother-in-law's birthday! She watches Brady on Tuesdays so we took her some goodies this morning and she and Brady spent the day together.  Brad and I both headed to her house after work to celebrate.  She opened her presents then we went to Cheddars for dinner. We are getting all kinds of good meals with all these birthdays (and we still have two more coming up)!  Once again Brady did a great job at the restaurant.  I am always afraid of jinxing myself by saying that! We took a few pictures before we left for Cheddars but Brady had just fallen asleep in my arms after being a little fussy so he is asleep in all the pictures, oh well!

Escape Artist

When I went into Brady's room this morning to get him up (unfortunately some days I have to wake him up before he wakes up on his own) this is what I found...

...We have an escape artist on our hands! He is obviously less than amused by having his picture taken first thing in the morning but it was just too funny not to catch on camera!  Brady has always hated having his arms swaddled so from early on we have just swaddled his lower half. Apparently he is no longer enjoying that either!

We have a bunch of birthdays coming up in the next few weeks in our family!  Yesterday was my mom's birthday. It was her Friday to watch Brady so, we took her flowers and donuts to help make the day special. We celebrated as a family later by going to Grey Goose for some pizza...yum!  We had a great time and David's girlfriend, Katherine even came from Louisville to celebrate!  Brady did a great job at the restaurant.  He started out asleep so we left him in his carseat then all of a sudden I looked down and he was wide awake. We got him out to join the party and he was a happy boy!
